June 17th: Works In Progress – Prose Open Mic Evening
Join us at Caper for the eighth (is-it-summer-yet-edition) of our monthly spoken-word open mic nights. These evenings are run by local authors (and Caper staff), and are designed to be an encouraging, creative, inclusive space for writers who want to share their prose works in progress, across all genres.
Writers sign up for a slot on the door, limited to 20 spaces. Slots are 5 minutes long – enough time for a reading of about 1,000 words. Not sure if you are ready to share your work in progress? No problem to decide on the night!
It’s also a space for readers and listeners – you don’t have to have work to share in order to attend.
The session will run from 7.30–9.30pm, and include a 30 minute interval – a chance to meet your fellow writers and share ideas.
Happening on the second Wednesday of the month (usually).
Tickets £5 to cover costs.
